Grieving after an Anticipated Death

Recording coming soon

Are you wondering if what you're thinking or feeling is normal?

Do you want to learn strategies to help understand and manage your grief?

Are you supporting someone who is grieving?

In this online information session I'm partnering with Nathan MacArthur from Sydney Grief Counselling Services, to discuss key ideas and challenges following an anticipated death. We also provide useful strategies to cope.

  • people experiencing grief and bereavement following a death which may have been expected

  • anyone supporting someone who is grieving after anticipated death

In this session we discuss:

  • the unique challenges experienced after a death which may have been anticipated (e.g. following an illness)

  • anticipatory grief and cumulative loss

  • managing guilt, blame and anger

  • the impacts of trauma

  • strategies to cope in the first few months and in the years to come

We will end with a live question and answer session.

This session is suitable for:

People who attended previous sessions said:

"The subject of grief is not something that's widely taught or spoken about. I can't believe how much I learnt in that one session alone."

"Such a warm, understanding, accepting, non-judgmental place to be. Such an open and useful discussion of the issues and ways to cope."

"I viewed your last grief session, and found it to be so warm, and comforting really. Nothing takes the pain away really, but listening to you was like you knew what journey I would be on."

"Great presenters with great presentation skills and come across as warm and caring people."
